The Network Manager™ Graphical user Interface, GUI, consists of the operator workstation WS500 and the Information Station IS500.
WS500 is the user interface for the Network Manager system and is a proven tool for the demanding real-time control of geographically distributed processes.
In addition, by supporting ABB’s Industrial IT, the WS500 also performs Aspect and Object navigation. This adds more flexibility by making it possible to add object-specific user functionality.
WS500 features:
The WS500 screen shows a geographic world map, a trend display and a web page. An alarm icon indicates if there are active alarms. A menu bar for context sensitive picture navigation is also shown.
Information Station IS500 presents graphical displays from the Network Manager system to web users over both Intranet and Internet. Any web browser supporting Java Applets may be used to present the information. With the IS500, important information is available to internal or external users with security maintained by an authority scheme. The displays and the alarm lists of the WS500 are reused in the IS500 without any engineering effort.

Network Manager SCADA/EMS provides a complete set of advanced power system application functions, all field proven under a wide variety of conditions. The transmission network analysis package includes functions for the optimal operation of the power system with respect to security, quality and economy.
The transmission network analysis comprises a number of modules, each of which can be installed independent from other modules. The transmission applications include modeling of high voltage networks and calculations for various activities such as decision support, network monitoring, security assessment and operation enhancement.
