The Historian is a component that archives all or selected portions of the Network Manager™ database for years without loss of data resolution or accuracy. Once data to be archived is identified in Network Manager’s data engineering environment, it is recorded in the Historian database as it is updated in the real-time database. Users can start or stop the archiving of any data point including status values, accumulator values, analog values, quality flags, sequence of event points (with millisecond time resolution), alarms and events. The Historian subsystem is also highly flexible. It can be integrated with the Network Manager system or a third party platform, and can even be used as a stand-alone package. Historian Features: - Historian Server stores data in a time series database designed to archive hundreds of thousands of values
- Historian Client server supports operator interfaces via PCs or the Network Manager consoles. ProcessBook, DataLink, ODBC and Active View interfaces are all supported.
- Historian Trending Package provides numerous trend formats, giving the user the flexibility to see up to eight trends on a single display.
