Aerotec offers a unique approach to assisting transmisison engineers in the routing selection and initial engineering of new transmission lines through its Transmission GIS Line Routing (TGIS-LR) application. This desktop PC-based application follows a new line project from preliminary route studies, through route selection, and into new line design and engineering. When the new line project reaches the design and engineering phase, TGIS-LR incorporates line models developed in commercial software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, PLS-CADD, and TLPro.
