OSI's substation automation strategy brings about a strong and flexible portfolio of solutions based on standard and open APIs and support for all modern protocols. OSI's monarch™ platform, with its superb scalability, can meet the needs of smaller to very large substations able to securely monitor and control a few hundred to thousands of I/O points. A distributed network of I/O devices, as well as IP-based RTUs and IEDs can easily and natively interface with the monarch automation platform. Use of the same monarch technology in the substation will facilitate the customer's database, display and other system maintenance tasks and will conveniently produce commonality of maintenance between customer's System Control Center and all customer's substations.
