The MPS silicone rubber formulation has consistently outperformed other silicone formulations in its hydrophobicity, its hydrophobicity recovery rate, and enhanced electrical properties in contaminated environments.
Injection Molded : To protect the fiberglass rod, the housing is injection molded using high temperature and high pressure to bond to the surfaces of both the rod and end fittings into “One Seamless Unit”. By permanently protecting against rod degradation due to entry of moisture and contaminants, surface tracking and arcing of the resin rod is prevented.
Crimped End Fittings: All end fittings on injection molded distribution insulators are attached using a crimping process to achieve the required tensile strength. The cast iron and steel forged end fittings are galvanized for protection against corrosion, and are compatible with aluminum suspension clamps and conductors on line posts.
